FareBuddy Terms of Service

Welcome to FareBuddy. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the FareBuddy mobile application (“App”), operated by FareBuddy Ltd (“FareBuddy”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use FareBuddy app.

1. Description of Service
FareBuddy is an independent companion tool designed to assist ride‑hailing drivers by providing real‑time, on‑screen visual indicators based on information visible on the user’s device.
FareBuddy:

-Does not accept, reject, or manage ride requests
-Does not automate any driver actions
-Does not interact with or modify third‑party applications
-Provides informational guidance only

FareBuddy does not optimise, influence, or recommend whether you should accept or reject any trip.
All decisions remain entirely your responsibility.

2. No Affiliation with Third‑Party Platforms
FareBuddy is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any ride‑hailing or transportation platform.
All trademarks, logos, and names remain the property of their respective owners.

3. Third‑Party Platform Compliance
You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of FareBuddy complies with the terms, conditions, and policies of any third‑party platforms you use.

FareBuddy:

-Does not control third‑party platform rules
-Makes no guarantees regarding compliance
-Is not responsible for any actions taken on your accounts

References to third-party ride-hailing platforms are for identification only.

4. No Automation or Interference
FareBuddy is a strictly passive, non‑interactive tool.
The App:

-Does not automate actions, including accepting or rejecting jobs
-Does not interfere with or modify any third‑party app functionality
-Does not alter, block, delay, or manipulate any interface elements
-Does not perform background operations that impact other apps

All interactions with ride‑hailing platforms remain fully manual and controlled by the user.

5. Overlays and Visual Indicators
FareBuddy may display transparent, non‑interactive visual overlays on your device.
These overlays:

-Are purely informational
-Do not modify or block underlying apps
-Do not replace or disable UI elements
-Are designed to avoid key interaction zones
-Do not affect touch input in any app

6. Data Usage and Processing
FareBuddy processes only information visible on your device screen.
Important:

-All processing occurs locally on your device
-FareBuddy does not transmit any data to our servers
-FareBuddy does not send data to third parties
-FareBuddy does not build or retain datasets of ride information
-No personal ride data is stored, logged, or shared

We do not access any information beyond what is required for real‑time functionality.
Visual detection may sometimes be incomplete or inaccurate due to device settings, lighting, layout, or third‑party app changes.

7. Accessibility Permissions
FareBuddy uses Android Accessibility Services exclusively to:

-Detect text and content displayed on your screen
-Provide real‑time visual insights and accessibility‑related functionality

FareBuddy:

-Does not track keystrokes
-Does not collect passwords or sensitive information
-Does not perform remote control or automation
-Does not modify system behaviour

By enabling Accessibility permissions, you consent to their use solely for these limited purposes.

8. No Guarantees or Professional Advice
FareBuddy provides estimates and indicators based on visible information.
We do not guarantee:

-Accuracy or completeness of data
-Accuracy of calculations
-Earnings or profitability
-Suitability for financial or commercial decisions

FareBuddy does not provide financial, legal, safety, or professional advice.

9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FareBuddy is not liable for:

-Loss of earnings, income, or profit
-Missed opportunities or trip outcomes
-Platform penalties, restrictions, or account terminations
-Damage resulting from reliance on app insights
-Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

10. User Responsibilities
You agree that you will:

-Use FareBuddy lawfully
-Comply with all third‑party platform requirements
-Not misuse or exploit the App
-Not attempt to reverse engineer any platform using FareBuddy
-You remain responsible for all your actions while using the App.

11. Intellectual Property
All App content, design, branding, and functionality are the intellectual property of FareBuddy Ltd.

All intellectual-property rights in the App, including software, design, and branding, belong to FareBuddy Ltd.
You may not use our name, logo, or materials without written consent.
You may not:

-Copy
-Modify
-Distribute
-Reverse engineer
-Create derivative works of any part of the App without express written permission.

12. Subscription and Billing
FareBuddy may offer subscription‑based access.
By subscribing:

-You agree to recurring billing via the subscription service provider
-Pricing and billing cycles will be disclosed before purchase
-Payments and billing are handled through the relevant app marketplace (e.g., Google Play).

13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to FareBuddy at our discretion, including for:

-Violation of these Terms

You may stop using the App at any time.

14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any updates.

15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in England and Wales.
